Jeff and Emma met in September 2021, just as the world was opening up again after the pandemic… And open up it did. On our first date at Jane Bond in Waterloo, Emma accidentally drove into a streetside patio area—no one was hurt, but it’s a story we still laugh about. That night, under the patio lights of Waterloo, we realized we’d found something special.

Since then, life has been simple and sweet: building a home together, working hard, enjoying quiet nights in, and sharing every moment with our 4 cats—who, despite Jeff’s initial “secret,” have become one of the things we love most about our life together. Jeff tolerates Emma’s music playlists, and Emma tolerates Jeff’s music equipment purchases—just one of many little compromises that make us work so well together.
